Compassion Thursday: Benny

This week, I want us all to meet Benny.  We all know the drill.  Benny was born into some….. not so great circumstances.  His dad works when he can, and his mom maintains the home.

Because of compassion, Benny does participate in church activities but, would love to have a sponsor!  A sponsor is someone who can write letters, tell him Merry Christmas, and he can form a relationship with.

For less than your cell phone bill, you can change Benny’s life today.  I believe with 100% of my heart that you can do it.  Take that step.  Click the picture to the left, or click here.  Comment here when you do, so we can all thank you.

Compassion Tuesday

Ok. It’s that time again.  I admit I was absent last week because I was on a honeymoon, in a remote location with no electricity or internet.  (Ok, that’s a tiny lie.  I was in Orlando, but I did not blog at all, I hope I can be forgiven.)

So.. here’s the scoop.  Every week, me and a group of bloggers each take one day to choose a child who has been waiting at Compassion for longer than six months, and put that child up on our site.  The schedule is as follows:

This week I chose Gladis. If you’re feeling a void, or even feeling like God is calling you to do this.  Take a second to pray about it, and see if this is the direction God is moving you.  If it is.  Click here or the picture below. Together we can make a difference.  Is it in you?

Name:       Gladis Guadalupe Mejia Dominguez (ES7980366)
Birthday:  August 10, 2002    Age: 6
Gender:   Female
Region:   Central America and Caribbean
Country:  El Salvador
Program:  Renacer Student Center
Personal and Family Information:
Gladis lives with her father and her mother. She is responsible for running errands and cleaning. Her father is sometimes employed as a laborer and her mother maintains the home. There are 3 children in the family.
Telling stories and playing with dolls are Gladis’s favorite activities. In kindergarten her performance is above average and she also regularly attends church activities and Bible class.

Compassion Tuesday

It’s Tuesday again.  Which is exciting to me.  If this is your first time here, let me give you the rundown.  On each day of the week Monday – Friday, me, and a group of bloggers take a day to feature a child who has been waiting six months or longer for sponsorship.  These are the bloggers:

If you’re curious or have any more questions head over to the compassion part on my blog, and see what this blog has done.

Today, I chose Trisia. Her full name is Trisia Pretty Dameria Boru Purba.  That’s a sassy name.  Try to say it out loud.  Now you know why I chose her.  Her picture is filled with just as much sas, and it is cute. Let’s get down to it.

I won’t go into the whole “guilt” thing.  But I will say.  Pray about it.  Has God been calling you for some time now?  Do you feel like something needs to be done, or like you need to do something?  Maybe this is it.  Say a prayer, and let God guide you. To sponsor Trisia, click here, or on the image at any time.

It’s that time of the week again.  Time for the community that reads this blog to take action.  It’s a rough time.  And if you think it’s rough here in America, just imagine how hard it is in other parts of this World.  We are the body of Christ, and with that comes responsibility.  Lives can be changed by us.  Lives should be changed by us.  I hope we all come together and realize that this world is what WE make it.  Is today the day you add a new member to your family?   Remember.  The children on this site have been waiting for at least six months for sponsorship.  These children need us.  Find it in your heart to make a difference today.  If you do. Click here.

Well. Here we are.  One week and no sponsor for Sebastian.  The economy is turning around but still down.  Jobs are scarce, everything is expensive.  The thing is.  God has blessed us with these things to worry about.  I know it sounds crazy, but it’s true.  Say a prayer.  Can you help Sebastian feel love today?  Can you help Sebastian eat a regular meal?  Can you help Sebastian hear the gospel of Jesus Christ?  Then click here.
