Well, I can't remember my Dad every saying those words to me, but he and my Mom were divorced when I was 2. By the time I was 8, my brother and sister were out of the house and I was the "man of the house" by default, I guess. What makes a man? A leader of his house; not the boss, but the leader, or priest of the home. Of course there are many more pieces to a man, but that's a must and a good place to start!
